Requests stay pending for two days, and you can cancel them in that time. Expect to prove who you are, where you live and that the payment method is yours.

Limits for card players

Blackjack's quick rounds can hide how much you've wagered in total. Support can set daily, weekly or monthly deposit limits, a cooling-off break of 24 hours to six weeks, or a six-month self-exclusion, with limit increases delayed by 24 hours. Help lines by province.

A pre-game blackjack checklist

Online blackjack tables that look identical can play very differently. Before you sit down at any table, including here, open the rules panel and check:

• Number of decks. Fewer decks generally favour the player slightly.
• Dealer on soft 17. A dealer who stands on soft 17 is better for you than one who hits.
• Blackjack payout. 3:2 is standard. Avoid 6:5 tables, which cost you noticeably more over time.
• Doubling and splitting rules. Restrictions on doubling after a split, or on re-splitting, add to the house edge.
• Side bets. Perfect Pairs and similar bets usually carry a much larger edge than the main game.
